It’s wonderful to see a local cancer support group who applied for funding donation from The Pfc Trust so that it could take its members on a trip to Whitby.
The WVARC support group. based at the Westview Centre in Hartlepool, went for a day trip to Whitby on the 30th of August 2023 for some seaside respite. They seem to have had a fabulous day and some of their members made the 199 steps up to the Abbey and they enjoyed a lovely lunch at the famous Magpie fish restaurant.
The trips they arrange are to help give some respite to people who are affected by cancer whether they are undergoing treatment, in recovery or in remission. They are able to forget about their problems and concerns that cancer brings for while
The Pfc Trust are thrilled to see the group having such a wonderful day.
