For example, running a neighbourhood watch scheme, being a parish council member, or organising/taking an active part in fundraising for community initiatives.

Recognising an individual involved in emergency response or care who consistently goes the extra mile to protect and serve the community. This includes police officers, healthcare professionals, firefighters, coastguards, RNLI crews, and call handlers who demonstrate exceptional bravery, compassion, and dedication. This should be someone who has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of the community.

Celebrating someone committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainability. From tree planting, beach cleaning and litter picking to leading eco-campaigns, this award honours individuals making a real difference in preserving the planet for future generations.

Recognising individuals or organisations using sport as a tool for positive social change. This award celebrates those who promote inclusivity, develop sporting potential in others, or use sport to tackle social issues and support wider community outcomes. This should be someone who loves sport and helps others to develop their sporting potential, or who simply has a love of sport themselves.

We all remember a special teacher from our own school days, who helped us develop a love of learning and made our school days memorable for the right reasons. This award celebrates educators who inspire a love of learning, offer unwavering support, and create positive, memorable experiences in education. This should be someone who has made a positive difference to your time in education.

The Youth Worker of the Year award celebrates an exceptional individual who has demonstrated outstanding dedication, creativity, and impact in their work with young people. This person goes above and beyond to support, mentor, and empower youth, helping them overcome challenges, develop their potential, and achieve their goals.

Celebrating a selfless individual who consistently gives their time and energy to help others. Whether supporting a neighbour in need, organising fundraisers, or offering companionship, this award honours those whose generosity makes a meaningful difference.
